Dr. S. Kavitha is the Director and Professor at Theivanai Institute of Business Management (TIBM), Villupuram, with 23 years of academic and 3 years of industry experience.

She completed her UG degree (B.Sc. (Computer Technology)) from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and her MBA from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. She also holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. She qualified UGC-NET in Management in 2006 and obtained her Ph.D. from Anna University. She is a Gold Medalist in both MBA and MCA and is a certified Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) by the All India Management Association (AIMA) in the Information Technology domain.

Dr. Kavitha has been a resource person for numerous Faculty Development Programmes, Workshops, and Executive Development Programmes on Management Research, Technology-Enabled Teaching and Learning, Online Teaching Tools, Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence in Education, and Emerging Technologies. She has organized several Faculty Development Programmes, Short-Term Training Programmes, and National and International Conferences sponsored by government funding agencies, securing grants worth over ₹13 lakhs.

Dr. Kavitha has made significant contributions to management research and academic scholarship. She successfully completed an ICSSR-sponsored Major Research Project worth ₹10 lakhs and is currently undertaking a special research project valued at ₹14 lakhs. She has published extensively in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals and is a recognized doctoral research supervisor. Under her guidance, five Ph.D. scholars and one M.Phil. scholar have successfully earned their degrees. She also serves as a member of the Board of Studies of autonomous management institutions and contributes as a reviewer for reputed peer-reviewed journals. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has provided consultancy services to organizations in the areas of market research, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Email Marketing, bridging academic expertise with industry practice.

Dr. Kavitha conducted an online international programme on Social Media Marketing for students of CETYS University and its partner institutions. As part of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiative, she co-taught with a faculty member from San Diego State University (SDSU), USA. Under the Global Classroom Initiative, she delivered an online session on Digital Marketing to the students of the Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Malaysia, in December 2024.

She served as the Champion for the ACBSP International Accreditation process at GRG School of Management Studies and has made significant contributions to quality assurance and accreditation initiatives in management education. Her dedication to academic excellence has earned her several recognitions, including the Best Faculty Award from GRG Trust (2018), the Best Professor in Management Award from the Association of Management Professionals, and the Academic Excellence Award from the Institute of Researchers.

As the Director of TIBM, she provides strategic leadership in strengthening academic quality, institutional development, faculty excellence, research culture, industry engagement, and student employability. Under her leadership, TIBM is focused on creating a vibrant learning ecosystem that nurtures ethical, socially responsible, and globally competent management professionals. With expertise spanning management education, digital transformation, research, faculty development, and institutional leadership, Dr. Kavitha continues to contribute significantly to higher education by fostering innovation, academic excellence, industry relevance, and global engagement.
