LeadHER Student Association

The LeadHER Student Association is the vibrant student-led body of Theivanai Institute of Business Management (TIBM), created to nurture leadership, collaboration, creativity, communication, and professional competence among MBA students. It provides a dynamic platform for students to move beyond the classroom, take initiative, work as teams, and contribute actively to the academic, professional, and social life of the institution.

The Association is led by a structured student leadership team comprising a President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two Executive Members from the II MBA, along with a Vice President, Joint Secretary, and two Executive Members from the I MBA. This inclusive structure promotes continuity, mentorship, shared responsibility, and active participation across both years of the MBA programme.

Students become members of any one of the following seven forums based on their interests, strengths, and career aspirations:

• LeadHER Marketing Forum
• LeadHER HR Forum
• LeadHER Finance Forum
• LeadHER Social Impact Forum
• LeadHER Creativity Forum
• LeadHER Communication & Media Forum

Each forum plans and organises engaging activities and events throughout the academic year, with students taking responsibility for ideation, planning, coordination, promotion, execution, and evaluation. While the forums lead the events in rotation, all students are encouraged to participate, collaborate, and learn from the diverse range of activities conducted under the LeadHER banner.

The activities include, but are not limited to, debates, quizzes, ADZAP competitions, business games, panel discussions, communication challenges, creative events, entrepreneurship initiatives, community engagement programmes, social impact activities, and other experiential learning opportunities. These activities enable students to apply management concepts in practical settings while strengthening essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, decision-making, problem-solving, public speaking, event management, creativity, and interpersonal communication.

The LeadHER Student Association reflects TIBM’s commitment to developing confident, competent, socially responsible, and future-ready women leaders. By giving students meaningful opportunities to lead, organise, collaborate, and contribute, the Association transforms learning into experience and empowers every student to discover and develop her leadership potential.
